About 4KBW
Established in 1972, 4KBW is one of London’s leading common law sets of chambers. Forty-five barristers practice in four specialist areas: civil litigation, crime, family and immigration. Among our number are five QCs and six Recorders. Previous members have gone to the High Court bench, the Circuit bench, the Master’s corridor and to chair Employment Tribunals. |
Members of 4KBW have appeared in some of the highest profile criminal cases of the last thirty years, including the Ponting trial, Broadwater Farm, the Shakespeare sisters’ case, Karl Bridgewater murder and the Who Wants To Be a Millionaire prosecution. Whilst civil cases are inevitably less high profile, we act on a daily basis in claims ranging from minor accidents to multi-million pound suits.
At 4KBW we pride ourselves on being a professional yet approachable set of chambers, committed to being responsive to the needs of our professional and lay clients. We therefore place strong emphasis on high standards of advocacy, clear and concise advice and dealing with instructions swiftly and efficiently.
Our experienced and able clerks' room is led by Lee Cook, one of youngest yet longest serving senior clerks in the Temple. By using the latest in computerised chambers’ management systems we offer the efficiency of modern technology without sacrificing the old fashioned standards on which 4KBW has built its reputation.
